Numeracy
Mean - is a measure of average that you are likely to have met before. To calculate it, add up all data values and dividing this total by the number of data values in the sample.
Median - is the value of the mid - point of the data. to determine the median, count in from the both ends of an ordered data set at once.
- if you have only one data value left them this is the median
- if you have two data values left then you need to determine the mid - point between them. Add them together and devide by 2.
Mode - is the data value that occurs most often in the sample.
Range - is the highest data value minus the lowest data value.
